Export tabulate result to excel

I need your help!
I would like to export result for tabulate to excel
for exemple :

sysuse auto
tab rep78 foreign , matcell(x)

Haw can i export this result to excel sheet?

i can exported tab with 1 way but i have problem for tabulate with 2 va

I can export the result for tabulate but stata exported without rownames and colnames!!

Repeated pleas for help probably won't inspire anyone to reply, instead I recommend showing the code for the tabulations you describe exporting via -putexcel- (the 1 way that worked and the two-way version that failed) and asking for advice for fixing your code.

You're in luck though - this stata blog entry details exactly how to go about exporting a 2 way tabulation to excel including the row and col headers/labels:

Also, -tabout- from SSC is a great (and IMO more straightforward) option for exporting one and two-way tabulations with control over the labels, headers, and formatting.
