Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) module and calculation.

Good evening,

I'm currently working on calculating some RCA statistics for 9 countries. The export data is based on the HS6 classification system and spans 10 years, meaning that I have over 9000 variables.

To calculate these indexes, I have two options, use the RCA (module) command by MR Ansari or compute what I think should be panel estimations.

The first option (https://ideas.repec.org/c/boc/bocode/s457747.html) I'm unfamiliar with, i.e. how to correctly use and what format my data should be in; and the second seems greatly complicated.

Please excuse my ignorance as this is my first post,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

rca includes a help file and the address of the author. If you don't think it's clear contacting the author is surely one possibility. Yet another way is just to inspect the code. The program is short and directly written. I can't add more as I am totally unfamiliar with these calculations.
