  • metatrim funnel plot

I'm using Stata 13.1 for Windows (Windows 7, 32 bit).

I use the user-written command metatrim (sbe39_2 from http://www.stata.com/stb/stb61 STB-61 sbe39_2. Update of metatrim to work under version 7 / STB insert by Thomas J. Steichen, RJRT / Support: [email protected]).

    After:

    .metatrim theta setheta, funnel

the funnel plot is produced as "as-is graph" with background color dark.

I ask if it is possible to have a funnel plot after metatrim command (as well other graphs after this command) in “live” format and not in asis format to be edit with stata.

Alternatively, it is possible to have a funnel plot with the plot region white or gray and not dark? I am unable to use the appropriate graph options, if any.

    I tried also:

    . set scheme sj, permanently

before to use the command, but i have no success.

    Dear Mario,

I am currently using Stata 12.0, and encountered the same messages as did you. Meanwhile, filled funnel plots with white background and editable titles of x & y axis are present in many papers. I would appreciate if anyone could offer a solution.

Dear Ngoc, the only solution I have is to save the graph as .pdf or as .emf and thereafter to use other graphic program to modify the plot. Do you have any alternative solution or news about? Mario
