  • power calculation for clinical audit

Hi. I just want to know if I need to do power calculation for clinical audit studies and if I can use STATA to do it. Thank you.

From the appendix of this guidance document on clinical audits, it seems as if you could compute sample size with a hand calculator. See the help file for what Stata has to offer. Invert the test to get the confidence interval.

Hi "epiboy99" (please insert your name and surname),

In Stata 13 you have a full set of commands (and also windows from the dropw down menu) to perform power and sample size estimations.

Just click on "Statistics", then on "Power and Sample Size".

      Best regards,

      Marcos
