  • Where to put profile.do

I am using stata13. I would like to make profile.do. But I don't know where to put it. In the manual, it is recommended that I put it in /Library/Application Support/Stata. But I can't find this folder.

Obviously, you use Stata for Mac. I would put profile.do in the PERSONAL folder. Try giving the command:
      Code:
      sysdir
to see where it is located.

        Not in
        /Library/Application Support/Stata
        but rather in
        ~/Library/Application Support/Stata
If this subdirectory doesn't exist, then just create it.

The user's Library folder is hidden in every version of OS X since 10.8 (Mountain Lion). The following article gives a good overview of the issue and how to access it.
