Is anyone else unable to "Like" posts?

For the last few days, I have been unable to "Like" posts. When I click on Like, I get the following error message:

Error Saving Like
You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

But I am logged in. Even after I log out and log in again, the problem persists. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, the same happened to me. I managed to do it by repeatedly clicking on the icon; I guess I liked the post that much :-)

Thanks to all who have responded. It just occurred to me that it might be a browser problem--e.g., maybe I need to clear cookies. To test that hypothesis, I logged out in Firefox and logged back in using MS Edge. And I found that I was able to Like each of the replies in this thread with just one click. I guess the next step is clearing cookies in Firefox to see if that fixes things. I just hope I can find a site-specific way to do that so that I don't lose stored info about all of the sites I visit.

Doing that logged me out of Statalist, which was expected. But after I logged in again, I was able to Like a post with a single click. Perhaps others who have been having the same problem can confirm that clearing the cache & site data for Statalist works for them too.

Thank you for the additional information, Bruce. There was a misconfiguration on Statalist where the server was setting the PHP session cookie to timeout after 1 day (86400 seconds) but the forum software was set to 1 hour (3600 seconds). We have aligned these values and the issue should now be resolved, or auto-resolved within 1 day of your original report, when the client side session cookie expires.

Using your method of manually clearing the session is also a great solution.

Thanks Pete Huckelba (StataCorp). It turns out my solution had a very short shelf-life: I had to do it again just now before I could Like your reply in #7! It's good to know there's a more general solution that should kick in soon.

FWIW The "no like" problem persists for me, whether using Chrome or Edge. (I cleared my Statalist cache too - thanks for tip Bruce Weaver )
