  • A question about 'search'

Recently, when using the 'search' command to find ado commands, it was found that newly added commands could not be retrieved since around October.
For example, while the command 'ssc hot' can locate the ado command 'adtest' (uploaded on 2025/12/24), but the 'search' command fails to find it.
What is the reason for this?

The table of contents file was missing the entry for adtest; we have requested an update and search should show a result for the command shortly.

Thank you, pete. I'm sorry for the mistake in writing 'ssc hot' in the post 1, it should be 'ssc new'。

Excuse me, dear Pete. The similar problem still persist, such as cvmtest (updated 2025/12/24), myedit (updated 2025/12/28). These commands updated after October 2025 can be found through command "ssc new", but command 'search' cannot find them.
        Happy New Year !

Excuse me again, dear @Pete Huckelba. The program "ewm" I wrote (updated 2025/10/22) can be installed by the command "ssc install", but it cannot be found through the command "search".

              Dejin,

I have contacted the SSC maintainer regarding the requested update.
