  • Congratulations to Clyde Schecter!

Congratulations to Clyde Schechter on his 30,000th post! Someone whose posts I have personally learnt a lot from.

Thank you. I have been learning from yours as well, and from those of many others. What a wonderful community Statalist is!

Like all the skilled sholars and rare gentlemen, probably Clyde would understate his incredible 30,000-post accomplishment.
He provides all the Statalisters with replies that look more similar to teaching notes (from which I'm still learning a lot).
Thank, Clyde for your enduring dedication to this list.
        Kind regards,
        Carlo

Clyde and I have never met -- in the conventional sense of being in the same physical space at the same time and talking directly. But even with a difference of time zones, we have more than once managed to post the same suggested solution within a few minutes of each other.

His longstanding and good-natured diligence are coupled with a suitable willingness to explain uncomfortable truths firmly but gently. So keep it up and go for 50000 posts!

In addition to the virtues mentioned above, Clyde frequently displays the insight and patience to decipher the rational core of questions that would seem to defy interpretation.

Again. Congratulation from Chicagoland, Clyde Schechter. You have tirelessly helped me throughout my journey in Stata all these years since I came to this forum. The time and effort you take to write something in a way that lets the person on the opposite side get a broader understanding of the issue at hand (as opposed to just providing a quick solution) is definitely something that cannot be taken for granted. Thanks again for that.
                              Girish

PS: Someday, I will put up a profile pic of my pretty face on this forum.
