I have 2 sets of variables, each variable coded 0 or 1. I want to do an EFA on these 2 sets of variables. I generated the covariance matrix using the polychoric command. No problem. I then wanted to use the factormat command to generate the factor analysis. I cannot find any information as to how to name or include the matrix w/ the factormat command. How is that done? Any help would be appreciated.

      I found an answer: https://stats.oarc.ucla.edu/stata/fa...d%20polychoric.

The code in that explanation worked.

I did need Clyde Schechter's comment on https://www.statalist.org/forums/for...actor-analysis regarding the -forcepsd- option, but with that help, the UCLA oarc explanation worked.

Thanks, Erik. I found the oarc web page before I saw your reply. But I do appreciate your reply.
