Descriptive_table package -- error

I have recently installed the package --net install descriptive_table.pkg-- and getting an error on running it "command get_var_info is unrecognized". I think it required to install -get_var_info- , but I did'nt find it. Please let me know if someone have the same issue and how to resolve it or from where I can install the required -get_var_info-.

descriptive_table is from SSC.

I would contact the authors directly. My guess is that get_var_info is a command that should have been included in the package.
