    Ankit Bhardwaj Three points now:

    1. You could replicate that in Stata. See for example

    Code:
    help twoway pcapsym
    for the main idea.

    2. How to do something similar with your data depends on your data layout and variable names, at a minimum. Please review the Statalist FAQ Advice for basic reminders of how to present example data (FAQ Advice #12). While you're visiting, please swing by #18 there.

    3. Your question bears only a tenuous relation to the title of this thread Drawing a bar graph for two years with categories

as you don't seek a bar chart. So please start a new thread with a better title while presenting your data example.

Sir, I am unable to start a new thread. When I compose a new message and enter an appropriate title while adding your name as one of the recipients, it doesn't appear under my recent posts. Instead, it is automatically saved without being sent.

That is about posting a message. not a new thread.

My message inbox filled up some time ago. I did nothing about that because messages fell into two categories (1) friends chatting, which they can always do by email (2) people wanting to draw attention to their posts OR to ask for support directly, which we have long since asked members not to do.

Good morning, sir. Could you please provide me with the steps to follow to generate a new thread for my query? Alternatively, if you could share your WhatsApp number or another means of communication that works for you, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your help!

Find “General” at the top of this page and click on it.

Then click on “+ New Topic”.

Read the text there and follow the link to the FAQ Advice. Read all the way through, and read the linked document

              Post your new question

Otherwise sorry, but I don’t offer or provide private help of the kind you seek.

You don't know how to start a new thread, but why? It is really unbelievable. This forum becomes more and more strange (and absurd)!

@Chen Samulsion Please don't take this personally. I know that I started these threads, but I can't recall where I clicked at the time. I have recently begun using STATA. I believe this forum is meant for those who genuinely seek help from fellow experts. Your comment is totally unprofessional.

Ankit Bhardwaj Ho hum. It seems to me that Chen Samulsion had factual basis to his comment, namely that you have in fact started threads before, which anyone can confirm by looking at your profile. His comment was a little vigorously expressed, but it wasn't "totally unprofessional", a comment better reserved for dishonesty of any kind.

Meanwhile, althoigh you have started a new thread (thank you), the following points still haven't been attempted.
