  • Bivariate (ordered) probit

Hello everyone, is there any stata command for bivariate (ordered) probit with known cutoffs? I would appreciate any insight on this. For context, my outcome variable, income, is in interval form, and this is the only outcome I care about. Does the bivariate (ordered) probit even work when there is only one outcome variable?

    Thank you!

I am confused. If you are concerned with only one outcome then why are you considering bivariate ordered probit? That situation would typically involve univariate ordered probit, for which the –oprobit– command would be appropriate if the cut points are unknown.

However, with known cutoffs –intreg– is likely to be more appropriate.
