  • Updated for Hausman test

    Dear Profs and Colleagues,

Do you know of any updated test for the Hausman test. I believe that I canot draw a firm conclusion (opt for FE or RE) solely based on the Hausman test. Since within-firm variation is minimal in my case
I guess I need another diagnose test to determine using firm FEs.

    Please share your ideas.
    Cheers,
    Paris

    Paris:
as we know, the -fe- estimator needs enough (whatever that means) within-'panel variation in time-varying variables to work at its best.
Therefore, being a matter of data, there's probably nothing you can do.
    Kind regards,
    Carlo
