Specifying a variable as "categorical" when using stmerlin

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has experience with specifying a variable as categorical for modeling using stmerlin. When I try using "i.variablename", it tells me that this notation is not supported. Appreciate your help!

I think manually creating dummy variables for categorical variables with more than 2 levels would be a solution.
