  • Highlight time periods

    Hello!

There are some time periods in my dataset that I would like to highlight. For example, 1853 to 1856. xline only allows me to highlight one point in time at the moment. Or I know I can cover a wider range with lwidth(vvvthick). However, this is too imprecise for me.
Graphically, I would like it to look something like this.

Is there an uncomplicated way to do this?
    Many thanks!
