Recover do file contents after accidental overwrite

Only wondering if any way to recover the contents of an original do file after accidentally accepting overwrite prompt. Thank you for any help.

If you are using a version control system like Git, Mercurial, etc..., you should be able to revert back to the previous commit.

Thank you very much for your help. I have OneDrive, and it does have a "Version history" option on right-clicking a file.
