  • Exponential Graph Scale in marginsplot?

    Hello,

I'm running a regression that is all in logs.

I'm using margins and marginsplot to display some results.

I would like the x-axis in the margins plot to NOT be in logs. Stata won't run margins on the non-log data because it's not in the regression. It seems like an option like xscale(exp) would get the job done, but that doesn't seem to be an option?

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    One option would be to:
    1. Run margins with the "post" option, to save the output as estimates
    2. Use parmest (SSC) to save those estimates in a new dataset
    3. Manipulate the resulting dataset and graph it manually

I am not sure that I understand this, but if the issue is just that you want axis labels on the original scale, then mylabels from the Stata Journal might help.

If you really want to warp the axis, I doubt there is a way to do it except as Phil Clayton suggests by re-plotting completely.
