  • Meta forestplot, to many estimates

    Dear reader,

I am doing a meta-analysis. My current dataset consists of 193 estimates from 14 different studies. These are too many estimates for a forest plot to be clear in stata. Does anyone know another way of creating a clear plot for these data points or some kind of different plot containing the same information? Thanks in advance.

    Best,
    Daniƫl

This is a challenging number. You could consider producing the plot in subsets to create several panels. You could skip the plot and just put the data in a table. Since you mention you have 14 studies, you might consider producing plots for each individual study level estimate (that is, 14 subgroups) then a main plot showing only the summary estimate from each study. What is right for you depends on the nature of your study and any restrictions on the number of figures.
