Crashing on my macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 everytime I enter ‘find it’ command

Trying to install spost13_ado, but when I enter findit STATA just crashes in my computer

findit (not find it) is an out-of-date command that should still work. In my Stata -- which is

Stata/MP 18.0 for Windows (64-bit x86-64)

-- it still works, but I see this advice in the help:

The default behavior of search is now synonymous with findit. findit
continues to work but, as of Stata 13, is superfluous. This is the
original help file, which we will no longer update, so some links may no
longer work.

I can't think of why using a Mac would make a difference here, but that could be ignorance. find it with a space would be a different deal.

If this doesn't help, please show the results of typing about in your Stata -- shorn of private details, as in the CODE extract above -- and please show exactly what you typed in Stata when trying to use the command. As you say it crashes Stata, you'll need to copy the text to a safe place before you issue the command.
