Reshaping Issues

Hi everyone! I wanted to get people's opinions on reshaping issues. I've encountered problems with Stata 17 SE where the reshaping process gets stuck in this perpetual "spinning wheel of death" in the bottom right corner of the screen. When it reaches this stage, I cannot do anything with Stata and have to force reset the program. Is this a sign I should upgrade to Stata MP? I'm a graduate student working on his dissertation, and I feel lost right now.

otherwise I would suspect you were running out of memory. In Windows check memory with Task Manager - the Stata memory command doesn't account for storage used during a command. There is also http://http://www.nber.org/stata/efficient/reshape.htm
