Update trouble

Hi!!
I'm trying to update my Stata 18 and the procedure gives me the following message:
downloading utility files ... connection timed out
The update process did not complete. You will need to restart Stata to exit the update sequence.
r(2);
I've then doubled the timeout1 and timeout2 but the problem persists. I've also tried by using different internet connections.
Can you help me?

Odds are that your Stata had a small problem that was fixed by the update you're trying to install.

Changing the timeout settings is what fixed that for me when it was an issue.

I just had this problem. You can go to the Stata website and follow the instructions for updating without an internet connection: https://www.stata.com/support/updates/
