Stata 18 Multi-user Standalone

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well. I'm evaluating which stata license get for a non-profit organization. One pf the options that they gave me is a "2 user perpetual mutli-user standalone with one year of maintenance", what do they mean with the multi-user stand alone part? I'd really appreciate your help.

I believe this is in contrast to a network license. A standalone option would be separate installations on multiple computers. A network license can be configured in a few ways, but essentially is for installation on a server. If I’m doubt you can always ask the sales team for details.

So, that means that will be two separate installations or can be more than two installations but just two computers can use it at the same time?

That you will need to clarify with StataCorp. I know with the network licenses that its limited to current number of users.
