No; requests like this are a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of Statalist.

It is not focused on serving individuals by answering their questions (in a way that happens to be public to those watching), so that once they have an answer, the question can go.

It is focused on being a public forum in which questions, answers and other material (e.g. notices or announcements) may interest many people using Stata. So, whatever your question was, the problem is likely to interest others, if not now, then in future. That is why editing it out is not a good idea. There can be reasons for editing something out, such as realising that you posted confidential data by mistake, but a problem being solved is not one of them.

Perhaps your question now seems trivial or obvious because you see a clear answer. But it wasn't trivial or obvious when you asked, and the same will apply to many other people. I've been using Stata for 32 years but it's still routine to find that something didn't work as I wanted or expected, which is a mighty puzzle until you solve it.

    https://www.statalist.org/forums/help#closure says more about editing.

It would be a public service to re-instate your problem and its solution.
