  • Stata 18 Data Editor unable to copy varname

In the 'Variables' window of 'Data Editor', earlier Stata versions allowed me to highlight a variable (or more), press Ctrl+C on the keyboard, then paste the variable name (or varlist) in a do-file or elsewhere. This does not seem to be working in version 18. I can select one or more variables, right-click with the mouse, then left-click on 'Copy varlist', which then does copy the varlist onto the clipboard as it should. But it does not work with the keyboard shortcut. Can you help? I miss this feature...

CTRL-C works for me from the Variables Manager or from the Variables sub-window of the data editor.

Thank you for the response. Using 'Variable Manager', I can highlight a combination of varnames, hit Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V paste it anywhere. When using 'Data Viewer' (both edit and browse modes), pasting inserts '1' instead of the variable names. Very strange.
