I have 7 continuous variables that measure population health outcomes - we are trying to see whether those could divide into 3-4 groups so that we can profile countries relative to the 7 variables. For example countries in group 1 are those who have var1 > benchmark1_1, var2 < benchmark 2_!, ....var7_1 > benchmark 7; group 2 are those who have var1 > benchmark1_2, var2 < benchmark 2_2, ....var7 > benchmark 7_2,....etc
Any advice of which of the two methods discriminant analysis or Paths analysis would be more suitable.
