  • Urgent help required...!!

    Hello every one,

I am just a beginner researcher with so much (almost everything) to learn. I am working on my mixed/multilevel model for data of two levels i.e. firm level nested into Country level.
By using the xtmixed command on Stata 16, I now have my tables outreged but the problem here is the interpretation of those results. As i have looking at papers but unable to exactly understand how the interpretations for multilevel are different from OLS or panel regression results? Help regarding that is needed.

    thanking in anticipation.

    Hi Mehreen,

This is such a broad question that I wonder if you wouldn't be better served reading through a text book. Here is a pretty good textbook and here is another. There are a number of subtleties in the way you should interpret a multilevel model that are different from an OLS model. Papers often assume you already understand many of these subtleties.

If you provide a specific regression table and the line of code used to generate the table, then ask a specific question about how you might interpret the results, someone here might be willing to talk through them with you. Otherwise, you might want to reach out to a more senior researcher at your institution, or perhaps an instructor for help.
