  • interpreting regression coefficients with percentages

Hello, I ran a time series regression where all the variables (dependent and independent) are expressed as % return for each period. However, I am not sure how to interpret the coefficient results.
For instance, variable A is the dependent variable and variable B is the independent variables: the coefficient is -0.869.

Does it mean that a 1% increase in returns for B leads to a 0.869% decrease in returns for A?

    Thank you in advance

I would use the term "percentage point." So if the return goes from 4.0 to 5.0, that is a one percentage point (not one percent) increase.
