How to roll back from latest update

After updating to the latest revision of Stata 18 (13 Jul 2023) I get an error message when Stata tries to communicate with Excel:

To verify that the revision update is the problem, I would like to roll back from the latest revision update.

How do I roll back from the latest revision?

You need to reinstall to do that, I think. But that seems a rather drastic solution and you'll possibly lose some previous updates too.

Rather, it seems more likely that you've tickled a bug in collect. I would contact StataCorp technical support.
