  • Rao-Simpson diversity index

I am pretty new to stata. I need help calculating the rao-stirling diversity index to analyze the diversity of the fuel sources in a given electricity system. There are 9 different types of fuel sources

    The formula is Δ =∑ijpjpidij, for i <>j

pi, is the proportion if fuel source i
pj is the proportion of fuel source j
pij is the disparity coefficient between fuel sources i and j

Thanks for tips and code lines

Please note our longstanding request to use full real names. "Nefer Titi" doesn't qualify, I will guess.

I don't know how to answer your question without knowing what disparity coefficient means or how your data are structured. Is it Simpson? or Stirling?
