Hi all, This is my first post so apologies in advance if I do something wrong. My problem is twofold. Firstly, I am trying to do an analysis with lag and lead-specific dummies but am not sure how to and second I want a graph with the confidence intervals for the results.
The design I try to replicate says 'effects are captured by separate lag- or lead-specific dummies'. I have panel time series data with municipalities and the years 2010 until 2020. The dependent variable is house prices and the independent variable is a 'treatment' called CC. I have different variables that I can use for this: (1) a dummy where 1 means the municipality has a CC in that year and 0 means it does not, (2) the year the treatment first started/ the CC first opened. I also made a variable of the year minus the first treatment year, so if the municipality got the treatment in 2016, the value for the year 2010 is -6 and for 2018 it's 2. Some municipalities never receive the treatment. I also have control variables for population and total nr of houses.
Now the design I am trying says to estimate lead and lagged effects of the treatment. Can someone help me with how to do this?
Then I am supposed to make a graph with bars of the 95% confidence intervals of these estimated effects. The y axis should have the effects and the x axis the years since treatment (minus x years - zero - plus x years). Does anyone know how to do this?
