  • How to explain the large differences in xtdidregress and csdid results?

    Hello,

    I am trying to understand the impact of a health care solution on per member per month cost of healthcare from Claims data. The program implementation month varies for each member as it depends on when they activate the program. I have about 9 months of pre-program data and then one year where the program was available to all Members and they all activated at different times.
    My xtdidregress results look like this:

    I dont have any idea how to explain the large difference I am seeing in the results from xtdidregress (-682) and from csdid (-2776)

    Here is an excerpt of the data- membernum is the grouped member id, month cont is the number of month (First month of data available is 1 and so on), activation_month_monthcont is the month number in which teh Memebr activated and total_allowed amount is the dependent variable of interest.
