You might want to address this question to Stata Technical Services. If memory services, if you already have your stata license file (a text file in the Stata install directory), because say you are re-installing Stata, then you simply need to restore this file. I think this would satisfy the activation. -
Hi Leonardo, thanks for the suggestions. I indeed contacted Stata support, and they suggested the same solution as you did. In the end, the solution was simpler than I expected, especially since the content of the file is just a string
