  • Survival data - comparing the probabilty of an event at a particular time interval - different probability to ltable

    Hi

I'm performing survival analyses for an event(x). The number of individuals at a specific time interval declines over time due to either a seperate event (death) or they haven't reached the desired follow up period. These individuals are censored.

I've used ltable to calculate the probability of being free of event x at different time intervals and plotted KM curves. I would also like to compare the probability of being event free at 5 years using logistic regression (we have also compared survival curves but would like to do this in addition).

To do this I removed the individuals who have not yet reached the 5 years point using stsplit, and calculated the probability of suffering event x by 5 years. However this probability was slightly different to the probability that was reported using ltable.

I'm sure why this is and would be very grateful for any advice? Apologies I can't share the data. I used ltable without any intervals.

    Many thanks
