I am trying to calculate the age-sex standardized mortality rate in a cohort using stptime command. Importantly, in this analysis, age is not the time-to-event variable. I have the reference mortality rate for each combination of age group and sex. However, I cannot figure out how to write the commend to incorporate age-sex reference rates into account. I wonder if anyone has an insight or a document that can be used to resolve this issue.
