Moving additions between Stata versions

A new version has arrived, and I would like to move all my additions from Stata 17 to Stata 18. I can see the additions in the file stata.trk in my plus directory.
Can this file be used to reinstall all my favorite additions in Stata 18?
Or is there another way?

I just don't uninstall old versions of Stata and never had a problem.

The reason I don't uninstall older versions of Stata is that I write Stata commands myself and want to be able to check if they work on older versions. Since the version command is (by design and for good reason) not a perfect time machine, the only certain way of doing so is to run those commands in older versions of Stata. So the fact that I don't have to reinstall community contributed packages is more a fortunate side-effect of this strategy rather than intentional.

Alas, it was me not setting my folders correctly. Everything works. And automatically, as Maarten says.
