  • Scale adjusted latent class model

    Hi,
I am new to DCE data analysis.
According to Davis et al (2016), scale adjusted latent class (SALC) models effectively separate heterogeneity in preferences from heterogeneity in error variance.
However, I don't know how to estimation the SALC models. Is there any stata command which run this type of model?

    Thank you.

Jean Bosco Nkurikiye: I don't think there's a Stata command for the SALC model. If it's the distinction between coefficient heterogeneity and scale heterogeneity that interests you, and you don't mind what parametric modelling assumption you're making to operationalise this distinction, you can use Arne Risa Hole's -gmnl- command. The SALC is a finite mixture version of the continuous mixture model that the -gmnl- command estimates.
