I am trying to use mahalanobis distance to decorrelate data in stata where I have 5 variables for spot prices regions and 2 variables for fixed prices. I am having a hard time finding out how to use it as when I search I don't find specifics of how to download some of the packages I have seen as mcd and mvoutlier and I tried asking bing AI to no avail. Does it mean I have to do it all manually and create it without any "easier" commands to help me?
