Automatically run a do file when opened

Hello all,

Is there a feature that will have Stata automatically run designated DO files when they are opened?

Not that I am aware of. Now, in Windows, if you right-click on the do-file in File Explorer and select "Execute" from the menu that pops up, Stata will immediately execute the do-file. But it doesn't open the file in the do-editor. Perhaps that will suit your purposes nonetheless. I imagine something analogous can also be done in Mac and Linux, although I have no idea how.
