I am relatively new to Stata and could use some assistance with conducting a pre/post analysis using dates. I have the client ID, client's enrollment status (i.e., when the client was open to receiving services), the service date (i.e., when the client received services), discharged date (i.e., when the client was discharged from the program), and service category (i.e., whether the services received were inpatient or outpatient services). I would like to determine:

- The number/percentage of clients who engaged in inpatient services since 2018 and 3 months prior to their enrollment in the program and 3 months after they were discharged
- The percentage of consumers who decreased their engagement in inpatient services, had no change in inpatient service engagement, and increased inpatient service engagement
