Generate year to first calendar date of the year

I have year data, but how can I make the year variable to the first calendar date of the year? Year is double type and new variable is float type
For example,
YEAR -> New variable
2001 -> 01jan2001
2002 -> 01jan2002
2003 -> 01jan2003
2004 -> 01jan2004
