  • Stata Shiny App

    Hi all,

Does Stata has package or codes that can help researchers create shiny apps?

For example, the link below is one shiny apps designed by using R.

Does Stata has the same function?

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Unfortunately, no.

However, you can now build Shiny apps in Python in much the same way you do in R. I wonder if you could use Stata's Python integration to build a Shiny app.

It would be awesome if Stata had its own refined interface for creating Shiny apps, though.

Probably I can put this idea in the Stata 18 expectation list.

I think this might be what Numerics by Stata is for, but I have no experience with it.

I thought of that, but Numerics is not well-documented yet!
The only example (World Bank poverty app) does no longer exists.
We should definitely mention this next session of wishes and grumbles
