ado update error

When I run ado update I get the following error

Does anybody have any suggestions on to resolve this.
I have not had any problems before, and I am not aware that I have altered anything on my system.

When I read this post I had not installed unidiff - the community contributed command housed at the Stata Journal in sg142.

net describe sg142, from(http://www.stata.com/stb/stb55)

So I clicked on the link to install it. No problem. I then ran

ado update

and received exactly the same error you did. And an inspection of the code for unidiff suggests it has not been updated recently.

Since this is hosted, not at SSC, but at the Stata Journal web site, I think you should report this to Stata Technical Services at

Thanks to William Lisowski and Technical Support the problem is resolved.

It was website maintenance at the SJ.
