  • I want your help to produce a bar graph from Berlin infringement database

    I need help with Stata command. I want to make some bar graph from the Berlin Infringement Database. Where x-axis is memberstate and y-axis is policysector and data will include from the period 1990-1999 (variable name is "yearin"). In policysector, only "JAIN" data will include. I couldn't upload data here, as have no option of it. You can get data from the link below. Please check my sketch of graph (I want to prepare that type of graph). Let me know if you need more information or data?

    I am still unsure what the length of the bar represents. Could you clarify that?

      I also wonder what the "Member infringement status in JAIN..." means.
      Code:
      import delimited "\BerlinInfringementDatabase_results.csv", encoding(UTF-8)
      preserve
      keep if policysector=="JAIN"
      keep if inrange(yearin,1990,1999)
      bysort memberstate: gen MIS=_N
      graph hbar MIS, over(memberstate)
      restore

        JAIN is one of the Policy sectors from many policy sectors. Here, JAIN means Justice & Home Affairs.
        Let me know if you need more clarification

              The length of a bar represents a number, what numbers do you want to show?
