  • Which estimation method to use - ivprobit or rbiprobit?

    Hi!

I have a binary dependent variable and an endogenous explanatory variable. My explanatory variable (an "index") has been created by summing 11 dummies. Thus, the values range from 0 to 11. However, given that the regressor is endogenous, I will have to employ an IV approach. My IV is a binary variable. What would be the estimation method and appropriate command to use? Would your suggestion change if the IV was a continuous variable?

    -ivprobit- is appropriate here.
The nature of the instrument is irrelevant. The nature of the dependent variable, and the nature of the endogenous regressor matter.
