  • Exporting xtsum table to word

    Dear Stata community,

I am currently working on my bachelor thesis, for my research I have to include a descriptive statistics table. My supervisor suggest that I use the command xtsum. The problem I experience is that the xtsum table in stata is hard to export to word. Most of my regression I exported through outreg2 and asdoc. Outreg2 does not work with xtsum (in my experience) and asdoc gave a not so good looking table in word. With the research I did on this problem I found that asdocx has a feature that helps exporting the table, but asdocx is behind a paywall so that is not a option for me. Is there somebody that knows a free and good way to export the xtsum table to word?

I would be very grateful if somebody could please help me with this.

    kind regards,

    Joost

    Joost:
    welcome to this forum.
Have you already taken a look at the new -table- suite in Stata 17?
    Kind regards,

      Hello Mr Lazzaro,

Yes i have looked to use the table feature, but I do not know how I get the results of my xtsum in a table. Xtsum uses r(N) r(n) r(Tbar) r(mean) r(sd) r(min) r(max) r(sd_b) r(min_b) r(max_b) r(sd_w) r(min_w) r(max_w) as its results and i have no clue how to get this in a table myself.
Do you maybe have a solution or a link that helps me with this?

      Kind regards
      Joost

As an aside, please call me Carlo, just like all on (and many more off) this list do.
        Thanks.
        Kind regards,
