    Dear community members,

Can we visualize data using flexplot in stata?

If not, what's the substitute within stata for flexplot?

    regards,
    ajay

flexplot appears to be a R package. You give no references, but I Googled quickly. I have never used it and indeed do not use R routinely, which is important only to flag that I don't know more than I say here.

But like many authors (me, too) the author seems to have put together some fairly standard things and some slightly nonstandard things that he (in this case) finds a convenient personal toolkit and invited others to share. This is fine, but there is little chance of -- and less point in -- someone cloning the whole in Stata, mostly because many of the plots I've seen are already available.

If you find any Stata implementation of violin plots (I think there are at least three) does specifically what you want, that's fine. Otherwise, it is a matter of specific details on what you want to do. There can be big differences in detail between exploratory plots and plots that follow model fits and depend on picking up estimation results and what can be calculated from them.
