  • Independent Variable predicts is highly correlated with dependent variable.

I will be very grateful for your help on this issue. Independent Variable (Last Birth CS) is highly correlated with my dependent variable (Caesarean Deliveries). Both are binary variables.
I get the error (outcome=last_birth_CS =0 predicts data perfectly.
I only get the data to run if I drop some other important regressors. Is there away out of this situation? Or my best bet is to do away with either the Last Birth CS variable or the other variables. Thanks.

    Francis:
without further details, I would get rid of -Last Birth CS- and see if logistic behaves.
    Kind regards,
    Carlo

Hi Carlo, it runs after getting rid of Last_Birth_CS

        Dear Francis Lawer,

Does it even make sense to include that variable? If I understand it correctly, you are predicting Caesarean deliveries using as a regressor an indicator of Caesarean section; sounds tautological to me.

        Best wishes,

        Joao
