  • Household Fixed Effect

    Hello,
Is there an issue with using HH fixed effects or individual fixed effects when the death of a family member is the treatment in a DID framework? Is it feasible just to stick to state or district-fixed effects?

Do you have a panel of households/individuals?

I have not declared my data as a panel while doing the regression. I'm using two waves of a longitudinal survey. So wave 1 is pre-treatment and death at the time of wave two is the treatment.

Treatment and Outcome variable is at the individual level.

          Sara:
George's helpful advice showed you the road to follow.
If you have repeated observations on the same sample of individuals, you have a panel data.
If this were the case, you should -xtset- your data at -individual- level (that is, individuals are your -panelvar-).
Otherwise, you're dealing with a reoetaed cross-sectional study (that is a different beast).
          Kind regards,
          Carlo
