Installing packages such as binscatter, chi table etc.

Hi, there.
I cannot install the packages binscatter, chi table etc. in my Macbook air. I tried by ssc install binscatter and help chi table. But these are not working. Here I have attached a screenshot of the problem. Please help me out, thanks.

Your screenshot is from a computer running Microsoft Windows, and the error message indicates (by virtue of the path to the PLUS directory) that you are running Stata for Windows.

Are you perhaps using software, such as Microsoft Remote Desktop, that gives your MacBook Air access to a Windows system on which Stata is installed? If so, you need to talk to the people responsible for that system to determine why you are unable to install software into the PLUS directory. I'm not a Windows user, so I cannot guess what the problem might be.
