I'm curious how many posts per month there are on Statalist, and whether the trend is upward or downward. Is that information readily available (without scraping the site)?

Some quick calculations suggest a long-term average since the forum started of about 120 posts per day. See https://www.statalist.org/forums/forum
The last month of the old mailing list https://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2014-03/ saw about 41 posts per day.
I have no idea about more detailed patterns. StataCorp may be able to write some code and anyone else is free to do that.
